I have little patience for fiction. I've always had trouble emotionally investing myself in characters which are not real. There have been many wonderful works of imagination that I've read and loved, but it is always just a bit harder for me to get into and keep with a novel than something real. My weak spot is biographies. Seems to me there are enough thrilling and fascinating tales a bit more grounded in reality to be told. I think I'd just rather make that investment to someone who really lived.
