Tomas has the plague. I've avoided it so far. Which is not to say that I don't have a fierce cold, but I'm managing not to have my eyes oozing like a zombie. I may eat my words tomorrow.

My achilles tendons hated ballet class last night and they are letting me know this in no uncertain terms. I'm not used to hurting there (even when I was in shape) so I'm not really sure how to placate them. I tried giving them some brie but that didn't seem to do the trick.

Back into my Women in Dada: Essays on Sex, Gender, and Identity book. Now that I'm done with Neal Stephenson's hefty tome I had no excuse not to get back to it. I was going to read the new Politics in Modern Dance book I picked up in Boston but um... well it was way way way over my head. I'll post some quotes from it later. I think it was written for a readership of oh like 10 people or something. I will come back to it another day. Like my Mt. Everest. Yup, that's it. But yes, it gave me my big "I'm a fucking idiot" moment for the week. Or maybe for that day. I can have several of them in a week.
