I am supposed to be cleaning today, but instead I decided to read Martha Graham's autobiography again. Bad me. I think that after this I'll reread Isadora Duncan's just to compare the two.

The Imogen Cunningham pictures were taken in 1931.

I wish I had a scanner so that I could get some of the others up that I couldn't find online. There are some absolutely lovely ones of her in the book.

I love the photos Immogen Cunningham did of Martha Graham. When I was living in Denver, there was a gallery there that had some of her prints for sale. They were rather pricey, but I always vowed that I would buy if I ever had a couple extra thousand laying around!

I also scored a 1927 edition of My Life by Isadora. I am in desperate need of picking up a newer copy though that will not fall apart when reading!

thank you for posting these!

Oh yes, I was just looking at galleries which carried his prints... eek. When you see 'price on request', it's probably not the best of signs. Someday. I keep meaning to hunt down an older copy of My Life. Mine is, er I got up to check and realized it was missing, what I thought was it is actually a copy of 'Isadora Speaks' from the early 80's. Guess I need to dig through my books or use this as an excuse to get that older copy. heh

Yes, I think he is a fairly well known photographer from the era.
