Toys R Us, weekend before Christmas, not a good place to be.

you must be a glutton for punishment

Well... in some ways, but this ain't one of 'em!

No, it was just the only time we had to go really. *sigh* It could have been a lot worse than it was.

Kmart is always one of the worst of places, even on non-holidays. I pretty much refuse to go there or to Walmart. Ick. We don't have any of those kinds of stores near us now though, had to drive a while even to get to the Toys R Us.

No store is a good place to be the week before Christmas.

[identity profile] danuv.livejournal.com 2004-12-19 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed. Had there been other options, I would have taken them.

[identity profile] macaholic.livejournal.com 2004-12-19 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
There are always options....send the menfolk!

What's the problem. Men, for centuries, have been hunter/gatherers. It is in our blood, our genes, our heritage. Get out there and hunt and gather at the stores, the mall, where ever there is a sale. It is what evolution has trained you for. That and channel surfing! Gather and hunt while ye may for one day ye shall be too tired and too old to do much more than surf the channels.

Uh huh, like I'm trusting that trip to him.

[identity profile] macaholic.livejournal.com 2004-12-19 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
You should. It is evolution's rendering of men as hunter/gatherers. Send him. Let him show you how manly he is!

[identity profile] danuv.livejournal.com 2004-12-19 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no, I do send him out to shop fairly often. He buys most of the groceries (and then we get into arguments when he can't locate some 'weird' ingredient I want or when he comes home saying that he didn't buy any 'tin foil' because the store only had aluminum foil). In fact he's going out tomorrow to finish things up. The Toys R Us trip was just one that I had to do.

[identity profile] macaholic.livejournal.com 2004-12-19 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Hey. Be careful now. It is not his fault if he did not find what you wanted. You gave him bad instructions. Besides, there are so many types of aluminum foil now, which one should he have gotten? The one for grilling, the quilted one, the one for baking, or the one for most everything else? Should he get the big roll, the small roll, or some other size. I mean, you want a man to do his duty and be efficient, you gotta tell him what you want or learn to accept the results. *snicker*

Oh yeah, I've learned that he has to be programmed like a computer.

Well, there you go!
