Running in a wind chill of 18 isn't really nearly as bad as it sounds. Or maybe I've just lost my damn mind. Whichever, I didn't die and that's the important bit! And I've actually made it up to 10 minutes of running. Woot! Every thing takes time. Time to lose weight, time to get to where I can really run, time to move my life on to where I want it to be. I'm trying to be patient, really I am.

I want a steak. A very rare, perfectly cooked steak with butter on it. Damnit. And fries. Double damnit.

I think if anyone ever put butter on a steak that the universe would end. I am 99% sure that dairy fat on animal fat is equivilent to putting a portable hole in a bag of holding.

Yeah, it sounds horrifying but it really is amazingly delicious. Toss 'butter' and 'steak' into a search engine and you'll get plenty of recipes. People often make compound butters with wines, herbs, cheeses... all sorts of things but butter works for me. There's a reason why I only do it once or twice a year though. ;)

Mmmm rare steak. I made the faux filet with beurre rouge from the cookbook you gave me for christmas a couple of weeks ago. It's to die for. I still have masses of the butter left over though. Need more steaks! Damnable diet.
