Woo, sorted my flat of strawberries into three groups; the ones I'll be eating in the next couple of days, the prettier larger ones that I'm freezing on a sheet pan to go in a baggie later, and the ones I've sliced, sprinkled with sugar and put into three tupperware freezer bowls for later use.

I'm so excited that I've found these foodies in my neighborhood and gotten hooked up with their CSA. *bounce*

Awesome :) we've been thinking about the CSA thing ourselves.

We also went to Floataway Cafe for Phaedra's birthday, and she had locally grown strawberries with balsamic vinegar on her salad - they were divine!

Floataway had a book set up at the Earth Day thing in Grant Park. They were passing out wee cups of a cold avocado soup that was so delicious.

I'd gotten so used to supermarket strawberries that I'd almost forgotten how wonderful they can be.
