My Hallmark Card Moment

I'm sitting on the porch this morning (yes, another porch post). I can hear at least 6 different kinds of birds singing, a chipmunk is scurrying around in the bushes, two squirrels are up a tree chasing one another, various insects and pollen fluffs move in and out of the streaks of morning sun that are coming through the tree branches, the water in our new birdbath is rippling a little and there's a beautiful spider web on the porch railing that is shimmering. I can smell damp earth, rotting leaves and a flowering tree of some sort that is very sweet. It's all just so gorgeous. I realize I sound like an idiot but I feel so lucky/blessed. I like my life. I have wonderful people in it and in general I'm quite content and happy.

I know just what you mean, I had my coffee on my porch this morning pretty early and it was just so lovely and serene. I feel so lucky too!
