Now they are following up the J.L. discussion with a bit of Rogue Leader on the new GameCube. This was after Tomas nixed my plans to watch the extras disc on the Citizen Kane dvd. I even made him cookies and candied apples and this is how he treats me?!

Picked up a cookbook called Vegetarian Cooking by Deborah Madison today. It seems like a pretty good one. Options have gotten so limited since Greg can't eat beef (not to mention the three million other things that either he or Tomas won't eat or don't like). There are only so many things one can do with a chicken. My mom raised us on ground beef dishes since there were four of us and ground beef was cheap and easily stretched. I've developed a lot of my own cooking style since I've been married but many of them are fatty or beef laden. It's time to get more comfortable with a lighter style. I can do without much beef, but don't try to take my dairy from me again. I tried that when Isadora was born for a bit... hell, pure hell. I'm just a cream, butter, and cheese girl with the ass to prove it.

replace the ground beef with ground pork. it does wonders, i've found.

i can't eat beef, myself, and have found that the world still has many useful flavors to try. and not all of them are superpricy.

Oh yes I know, I just needed more resources to work with. :) Ground pork wasn't as available when I was young as it is now or mom probably would have used it more. I'm not sure if Greg can eat pork or not. He hasn't tried it yet.
