I've been a busy girl. We spent the past couple of days cleaning two rooms of the house. Sad that it took two days and involved 5 or so trips to the dump. Well, I did pull carpet off the floor so that accounts for some of it. We now have a christmas tree. It's bare but it is up. My christmas joy is still lagging or lacking or something.
I talked to my mom this morning. She was upset and crying because a job she thought would come through turned her down as "overqualified". Ugh. She's afraid she's going to have to sell her house. I wish we could help her. Tomas feels bad because we know so many people who need jobs and yesterday the place he used to work called offering him a full time IT position there. He doesn't want to work there but I think he feels guilty that he got the new job so easily and now has another offer when so many others are struggling.
I'm reading the first Lord of the Rings book... not the Hobbit. However, I'm also reading the Leonard Cohen book I started forever ago, some Anais Nin book, a Phillip K. Dick novel, and a couple of magazines. Bad habit of mine. I don't have the time to read that many books at once anymore. I'll never finish any of them but ya know, sometimes you just aren't in the mood for one and you need a little of something else.
I haven't been posting much (good or bad) but I've been keeping up. Scott the Musical has made me smile. I swear there must be bluebirds landing on his shoulder and flower petals falling around his head or something. I love seeing people so happy. :)
lorgami posts such purty pictures.
birdofparadox is posting a lot which is a Very Good Thing (even though sometimes she ain't happy which is most definitely not a Very Good Thing).
hypnogun had a concert that I wish I could have gone too but couldn't because babies had to be watched. We need to find someone we trust to babysit other than our moms. There needs to be a third option... someone we can pay so we don't feel like we are using the moms too much. I hope
celestyna's trip goes smoothly. Just a few things I'd wanted to say to people but didn't.
