We went to pick the kids up from my mother this morning and since it feels like it's over 90 here I decided it was the perfect time to sing a few Christmas carols. The kids joined in enthusiastically, as they usually do and then they decided to compose their own songs. Rhiannon kicked things off with a slow ballad called "The Sad Snowman" then Isadora followed up with a rollicking number called "The Children Go Ice Skating But Then They Fall Down" during which she had to tell us repeatedly not to laugh. Rhiannon's next song was kinda similar to her first one except that it involved Santa running into a Lonely Snowman and then Isadora contributed a second verse to the song that had a witch getting involved in matters. I think we should record an album.
