Jul. 20th, 2001 01:30 pmI've been getting some of the new Tori Amos songs from various places. I think Bonnie and Clyde is my favorite so far. Haunting. Heart of Gold is a little too dizzy and Strange Little Girls seems like a more traditional Tori Amos song. I really want to hear some of the other ones... Enjoy the Silence, I Don't Like Mondays, Happiness Is A Warm Gun. They haven't shown up yet though. Probably won't hear them till the album comes out in a few months. Oh well.
Tomas got the camera working yesterday. He blew in it. Go figure. This weekend is going to be pretty busy. Saturday we have to go to my mom's and then Sunday to his mom's. *sigh* I am never going to get the things done I want to get done.
Rhiannon has gone Teletubbie mad. She pitched a huge fit last night because I put her to bed after only 30 minutes of them. I tried telling her that they were dead and we had just eaten them for dinner but that didn't seem to stop it.
Isadora is fanatic about the NIN song. Whenever it comes on M2 she stops whatever she is doing and starts shaking her wee baby arse. It's amusing. She also likes that commercial for those Jazz cds that has been running, particularly the part where they play The Girl From Imponema (?). Such an odd child. I need to start checking out the dance studios around here and see what age the toddler classes begin at.
Greg put W2K on my computer. I guess it's ok. I vowed that I would get Linux installed and be comfortable with it by the end of October but I haven't yet. Slacker me. There is no way on earth I am using XP. I absolutely refuse to. I will beat the life out of 2K and then move completely to Linux and hopefully by then they will have Wine working well enough to play most games in. Greg keeps going on and on about how you can get around XP's registration crap or whatever but I just refuse to support XP in any way. I cannot believe they are taking Java out. That is so infuriating. God they have brass balls.
Then there is this thing about the Russian hacker Dmitry Sklyarov who was arrested at DefCon. Read about it and do something if you care about free speech anymore, which most Americans don't seem to. I hope they do manage to get a protest organized here so we can go.
