(no subject)

Grrr.... some guy won several of my Ebay lots. In the auctions I clearly stated that I expected payment in 10 days and would only ship to the U.S. So after they ended this guy writes me in broken English and tells me that he is in Canada and wants to know how much shipping will be. This is for 10 of the books. So I haul all of it up to the post office and get prices for the shipping methods and email him to let him know... I hear nothing from him all week about how he plans to pay so today I write to ask what's up and he says he has to wait till he gets paid NEXT FRIDAY! F*cker. I wrote him a terse little note letting him know this was not a way to act as an Ebay bidder. Being terrified of negative feedback though I'll wait and let him buy the books. I'm such a people pleaser. I should have told him to shove it up his arse. The Canadian thing wasn't that big of a deal (though I would have been happier had he asked prior to bidding like another guy did) but the money thing just puts it over the edge. Grrr. Anyway... I'll live. Compared to other's problems this is a very minor matter.

I didn't post much this week. Oh well. The Others was rather enjoyable. Not a film for the MTV crowd but lovely and creepy. This week will be full of cleaning and packing for the vacation. Yahoo.

Ooooo! I won some pretty purple Ralph Lauren sheets off Ebay. We needed new ones. The color is nice though... a good dark rich purple. Like an eggplant. Makes me feel wealthier than I am.

I want I want I want a Tenebrae parasol. Specifically the patent one. So purty. But alas I don't have an extra $79. I also want to get Tomas a Utlikilt but they are kinda $$$. Maybe when I get back from St. Simon's I'll look for more stuff to sell.

Today Tomas and I bought a crimper so we can make our own cat 5 cables. Are we not geeky? We want to wire the whole house. It would be safer and more practical than having all these cables running down the hall.

Tomas has a beer. That's so cute. Guinness.
