A bird flew into our house at some point last night. It flew around, knocked over our rum bottle and then managed to get itself entangled in our bedroom mini blinds. Somehow I managed to sleep like a log throughout all of this. We found the little critter this morning, trying his best to get out and freed him. I have no idea how he made it into the house in the first place.

We had a lovely day yesterday. It started off with Lost in Translation. Tomas had been preparing to nap during the movie, until the opening shot caught his ass-lovin' attention and he was glad he did remain awake since he liked it best of the three films we saw that day. After the movie we made our way to Rusan's, which I'd heard about but never went to before. It was enjoyable, not near the quality of MF Sushibar, but a place I would feel more comfortable taking my kids to. After lunch/dinner we drove back down to our local megaplex and saw both Mystic River and Kill Bill. We felt deliciously free until we picked the kids up this morning.

I enjoyed all three movies for various reasons. Lost in Translation was easily the best, but Kill Bill was fun (who doesn't love killers in schoolgirl skirts?) and Mystic River was well acted and beautifully directed.
