While trying to discern the meaning of the word 'ubuesque' earlier I came across an interesting translation of the first act of Ubu roi by Alfred Jarry. He was quite the character. Lived hard, died young, left one important work. Some say he lived his one important work, transforming himself into the main character of his play. Someone I need to read more about I think.
