Varia and I made a Southern feast for lunch. There was skillet fried chicken, rice and gravy, green beans (cooked in a compromise fashion with bacon but only lightly sauteed rather than the cooked to death green beans of my youth), mac and cheese and collards. It was tasty delicious and I am now stuffed. Varia makes a fantastic cooking partner. Tonight we tackle larb, dumplings and shumai for a sort of pan-Asian feast possibly to be topped off by something involving chocolate if I can convince the masses.
