Mar. 4th, 2006 11:52 pmDad brought me loads of cooking magazines a couple of weeks ago. I've been slowly making my way through them. Today I fixed beer braised short ribs from one of them. I've never officially braised anything and I've never had nor cooked short ribs. They cooked all day then you take the ribs out of the sauce and stick them separately in the fridge overnight so that you can defat the sauce before serving. They looked tasty. I also got a beef roast ready to be cooked up tomorrow complete with a roasted garlic paste. Leftovers will be French dips on Monday. Today for lunch I made broccoli and cheese soup. It was a cooking day.
