Jan. 13th, 2009 09:39 amApart from being awake from 2:30am-3:45am Jack has been asleep in his crib since 8pm last night. Woo!!!
The girls have an "early release day" which means I have to pick them up at 11:30. I'm not sure why they bothered having school at all. Seems rather pointless.
I'm finishing a leg (not a hat) on the new soaker for Jack. It's a new pattern I haven't tried before and I'm quite pleased with it. My short rows are still leaving holes on one side which annoys me and I made the large size which looks like it will be too large but he'll grow into it. Better too large than too small. I think I'll make more of these for the cousin Eliana and her baby brother who is coming in March. It's good to have so many babies to knit for.
Knitpicks.com is having their 40% off book sale and I'm trying to decide what I want to get should I be able to scrape together some money before it ends. I looked at this new Mason Dixon book while I was at Barnes and Nobles the other day and I liked several of the things in it so I might try and get that. I'd also like to get a sock book but there are so many and they all have their various champions so it seems to be tricky to get a consensus on which is the best.
