This morning and afternoon were nice. We went to the Magic Kingdom and rode the Teacups again and Dumbo then picked up some of the other things we missed the first time around. Isadora and I rode Space Mountain and then Isadora rode it again with Tomas. Rhiannon was too chicken.
We rode the Pirates of the Caribbean, saw Captain Jack do his Pirate Tutorial and Isadora filled up a treasure chest with gems and coins. Sometime around 4pm we headed back to the hotel for a bit of a rest and refresh. Isadora changed into the Cinderella dress my dad had made for her and we headed back.
Even the trip through the hotel to the bus was a riot. Isadora was practically walking on air in her light up 'glass slippers'. She walked out of one of them on the staircase by the pool. Prince Charming was not given the chance to find it.
Everywhere we went people Oooed and Ahhhed. I don't know if it was because it was an unusual Princess dress (usually you only see the ones sold in the stores) or because of the way Isadora beamed and waltzed while she wore it. I suspect the latter.
Tomas and Rhiannon had to pick up a parasol she was having personalized so Isadora and I went through the castle and rode the carousel directly behind it in Fantasyland. We had some time to kill before our 8:20 reservation for dinner at Cinderella's Table in the castle.
Isadora managed to get 'Cinderella's Horse' on the ride, denoted by the gold ribbon on its tail. After it was over we met up with Tomas and Rhiannon and checked in for dinner. Isadora had her photo made with Cinderella and then we climbed the long spiral staircase to the beautiful dining room.
They led us to our table which just happened to be one of the few in the large dining area was by the windows overlooking Fantasyland! We had a beautiful view of the lights coming on as the sun went down.
Dinner was lovely and part of the way into it I noticed a small commotion a few tables up at a small table by the same windows we were at. A young guy got down on his knee and proposed to his girlfriend! She said yes and everyone clapped and cheered.
Not too long after that the 9pm fireworks program called Wishes started. We had expected to completely miss this because we knew dinner would run into it. I asked the waiter if we'd be able to maybe see any of the fireworks... I had no idea but it was the most AMAZING view. They dimmed the lights in the room and piped in the audio. Fireworks went off right past us in clear view through the window and many of them were fired from areas feet away from us. Incredible. Absolutely freaking incredible.
Tomas and I were practically crying.
The fireworks ended, the Fairy Godmother and her mice came out and did a little number and then we left to go get seats down on the street for the light parade called SpectroMagic. I pulled out our dollar store containers of glow sticks which Tomas and Rhiannon started assembling and Isadora went skipping around the street passing out.
A few moments later a Cast Member walked up to us and the people next to us and told us that it was our lucky night and we were going to get to go sit in the VIP seating for the parade!!! He led us all to some bench seats and we had a fantastic time watching it before we headed back to the hotel in happy blissed out exhaustion.
Such a night.
I have loads of pictures of course but I can't really do much till I am home.
