(no subject)

My RAM finally came yesterday (my first stick was bad) and now that I'm up to 2 gigs I'm giving Second Life another run. It was impossible to use before now. I was hoping textures/images in game would load more quickly now but that doesn't seem to be the case. I walk into a store and have to stand there looking at a blurry image for 30 or 40 seconds before it clears up. Is there any way to adjust my settings to make this happen more quickly or is it just part of SL (or because my vid card isn't up to the task)?
