We skipped breakfast with the family this morning so that I could keep Jack home as long as possible and drove down to mom's around 1:30. He pretty much laid on my lap or Tomas's all before lunch, slept on the sofa during lunch and then laid in my lap while we opened presents. As we were finishing he threw up all over me. All he'd had all day is pedialight (however its spelled) and half a tortilla. I don't remember either of the girls being this sick for this long. The doctor in the ER last night acted like Tomas was crazy for bringing him in (which our ped's office told us to). I hate doctors like that. They're the same ones who will yell at you when you don't bring them in when they think you should have. I think I'll rewrap some of his presents for him to open when he feels better. My poor baby.

Mom gave me a yarn swift and ball winder. The girls will really appreciate not having to be a human yarn swift anymore I'm sure. The first skein didn't wind up as tightly as I'd like. I'll have to see if I'm doing something wrong. It's kind of a floppy soft cake (she got me a ball winder too).

Oh, Tomas broke the washing machine last night before he went into the ER. He loaded it with two pillows, two blankets, a towel and two pairs of pjs. The repair man will have to be called on Monday. This is after Isadora ripped the medicine cabinet off the bathroom wall and it fell to pieces in the floor. By the time the washer died I just had to laugh. Really. This year. Ugh. Fuck it.
