Jan. 11th, 2010 11:38 pmI watched Avatar over the weekend and I have to say I hated it. The only thing I enjoyed about that movie was the way the planet looked. The acting was weak, the special effects did not impress me and do I really need to mention how completely absurdly tired that story is? Really? Must we keep making it over and over again with slightly different scenery?
I'm reading another urban fantasy series set in Atlanta that is ok. The main character (so far through book 2) isn't being portrayed as a sexpot which makes me happy. I'm a little tired of all these female led urban fantasy books having chicks who sound like they walked off a porn set. I'm also reading a book about Victorian sexuality that I've had on my shelf for a long time and forgot I hadn't read yet. Discovering that was like a Christmas present.
New laptop envy is growing. I may give in and buy a gaming one from Alienware when the tax refund comes through. Maybe.
