Starting day 7 of my South Beach diet. I seem to be down 6lbs, I'm not feeling remotely hungry or too deprived. All good. My weight loss will slow down of course in another couple of weeks when I move into Phase two of the plan (where you reintroduce limited whole grains and fruit). During that phase I should lose a pound or two a week. I thought this was a low carb diet, but it's not. I'm eating beans and low fat dairy, lean proteins and more vegetables than I've ever eating. My previous diet was mostly centered around starches, pasta meals, lots of rice and lots of bread. None of it whole grain of course. So, fingers crossed.
