This news story is so upsetting: http://www.ajc.com/news/north-fulton/11-year-old-babysitter-617778.html. An 11 year old should have never been allowed to babysit a 2 year old alone. I don't think 11 year olds are even supposed to stay home alone on their own. Rhiannon is responsible enough that I feel comfortable leaving her for short grocery trip runs but I would never ever leave her with Jack. Not because I think she'd ever intentionally harm him but because it's not a fair responsibility to lay on her. And now they are talking about charging this child as an adult? I think it's pretty obvious that the girl needs some psychological help but she's a KID. She should have never been left with a toddler. Toddlers are hard for an adult to handle. Where is the responsibility of the adults in this situations? The mother of the baby and the mother of the 12 year old both share in the blame for this two year old's death. What a horrible horrible story. I really hope they don't charge her as an adult. Ugh.
