It's not a diet!
Dec. 8th, 2004 06:07 pmI downloaded this nifty program program yesterday that tells me I should be getting 1632 calories, 46.8 grams of fat, 188.9 of carbs, 25 of fiber, and 113.7 of protein for my height and weight in order to lose pounds. You can also log your exercise and it deducts the calories burned from calories you've consumed for the day. Now I've been reading this afternoon that if you don't consume enough calories your body will hold on to the fat and you won't lose weight. True? My problem is that I'm right now (including what I plan to eat for supper) at about half my alloted calories *before* adding in the 90 minute ballet class I'm about to go to which should (again, according to what I'm reading) burn something like 800-900 calories. This would put me back down to practically nothing for calories for the day. Argh! I've already included the 40 minutes of walking which took some of the calories off. I can't just 'eat more' because my fat and carb intake is pretty good (I'm not hitting the allotment but I'll be a lot closer). My fiber quota and my protein could stand bulking but what on earth can you eat that adds calories and one of those two but not a lot of fat or carbs?! I do suck at this nutrition mess.
