danuvRhiannon's school had its super inclusive Holiday For Everyone at a local church on the other side of the park. The building was packed by the time we got there so we ended up in the balcony with almost no view of the stage. There was a guy taping who had a little monitor right in front of us so we ended up watching it all on a wee tv.
As part of their Kwanzaa bit they had a group of kids and one adult come up and play drums. It was really cute but we could hear that someone was definitely off tempo, glaringly so. We watched on the monitor as the cameraman panned down the row of drummers, each beating their little hearts out, then we came to the last boy. He was a sullen grumpy little fellow looking completely pissed off banging as loudly as he could off the beat on a cow bell. Tomas and I had to work hard to stifle our laughter. I may have to buy the video just for that scene.
