This came across a list I'm on today. Some choice quotes from the article:

Augh. Why did she run for Senate then!? And... isn't that like going to a Greenpeace meeting and suggesting that you'd like to crash a whole lot of oil tankers into wildlife refuges? I guess she's got guts to say that to the League of Women Voters but good grief. And I'll thank her not to tell me I need looking after better. Rarr!

I don't know... I just don't have the brains to understand it. Guess I'll have to go ask the head of the family. I guess it's because she doesn't feel like our husbands are taking good enough care of us so she has to.

You know what really bakes my noodle... it's not even as if voting is compulsory here! Women don't have to vote, and obviously quite a lot don't!

Oh there is also the massive simplification of the social and economic history of how women came to have a larger presence in the household... and the fact that women were having to go out and work (not the cheery middle and upper class women, the rest of 'em) well before we got the vote.

I think our husbands take good care of us :D But I'm naughty.
