Spendy day... though not too much... I bought a few books from half.com. I hope that goes ok. I've never bought anything through them before. The list: Animal Farm George Orwell, Beautiful Losers Leonard Cohen, The Magus John Fowles, and The End of the Affair Graham Greene. Total was $20 something including shipping. Not too bad. Could have done better had I found them all at the used bookstore. It's the shipping that gets you there... about $3 a book. :(

I'm getting through Stranger in a Strange Land at a pretty decent clip for post-kids Chava. Had I read it before kids I'd be done now. I think I'll read Jude the Obscure next. God that was one bleak movie.

My friend's list is pretty quiet today. It's strange to be wishing for Monday so that Tomas will be off work again.

I *live* at half.com. It has been the easiest way for us to replace our 80's tapes with cd's. We get shipments damn near weekly, and have never had a problem with them. You will get you packages from the individuals, so one order of 3 books will come in 3 packages from different places. I've placed well over 30 different orders there, and recieved twice as many things. I love their wishlist updates, and have found many of my silent films that way.
You will be hooked, I swear!
