Today we watched The Third Man. I'd never seen it before. We (Greg and I) both died laughing when Orson Welles' character said :
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.

Orson was so cute in the film and it was a Graham Greene story.

Actually after reading the post I realized it was more humorous when hearing the way Welles delivered it than it is reading it on LJ. :)
