Today I will immerse myself in Greek mythology trying to fill in some of the massive gaps in my education, spurred on by this rather silly play.
My mother hated (perhaps loathed would be more appropriate) mythology. While other women of the era were burning their bras, my mother burned her mythology book. Apparently she carried her feelings on into middle age because we were taught practically nothing, nor did my Christian high school place a great emphasis on it.
So yup, I have a lot of catching up to do.

There is a much naughtier version here (http://www.tkline.freeserve.co.uk/Webworks/Website/LYSISTRATA.htm). I'm going to have to read it again.

I think that Clash of the Titans should just about cover it ;-)
