Apr. 5th, 2003 06:43 pmIsadora has this toy doll that came with her children's meal at some fast food place. The gimmick of the toy (they all have to have gimmicks these days) is that her legs, arms, and lower torso are removable and interchangeable with other doll's parts. We only have one of these (though at some point we must have had two since her legs are contrasting colors) and Isadora is incapable of assembling or disassembling these things on her own. However, multiple times a day, she brings it over to me, asks me to take it apart, carries the pieces around, returns to me and requests that I put the doll back together again. This ritual puzzles me. I guess she just takes some odd joy in carrying around dismembered doll parts. Perhaps I should be alarmed.
