danuvAnother night of insomnia, due in part to my constant coughing. Tomas is returning home with Nyquil and various other goodies for me and then I will attempt to get as much sleep as modern science can force my body to take.
The last couple of weeks I've just been whalloped with a bad combination of insomnia, hormones, and constant childcare. In months past, my mother has taken the girls for an overnight visit once a month or so. I hadn't realized how much I needed and counted on these breaks until she recently got a new job that prevents her from being able to keep them overnight. It's also much harder to drop them off for babysitting since she lives a good solid hours drive away. We make do with the shorter breaks that Tomas's mom can provide. She is less accustomed to young children and can't really happily keep them for longer than the span of a movie or so. However, she will be watching them when we go out to see the new Matrix movie tomorrow evening. Yay.
I am now strongly craving both spinach and creme brulee.
