The girls are watching The Wizard of Oz for the first time in a very long time. Isdaora has gone from wanting to be a Kiki type witch for Halloween to wanting to be a Glenda type because Glenda has a pink dress and sparkles. These are Very Important Matters to her, you see. It would be even better if Glenda was wearing a pink dress with polka dots, flowers, and sparkles.
Rhiannon doesn't seem nearly as concerned about her Halloween costume yet. Fine with me. I'd rather not have to hear daily updates on what they want to be and get pestered about when it is for the next however many months.
Isadora is also Very Concerned about what Tomas and I are going to be. Not something I usually decide until October 30th or so. I should tell her I am going to be a pickle. See what she thinks about that. Or maybe a tooth. No sparkles! No flowers! No polka dots and certainly no pink! Okay, so maybe I could be a sparkly pink tooth. That might meet with her approval.

We are starting our vacation early. It seems we're going to end up having the kids for half of the week anyway so there's really no point in sitting around this house if we can be in one with air conditioning. We'll be leaving tomorrow as soon as Tomas gets off of work.
