danuvI finished The Bostonians today. Didn't care for it. I will be starting Tess next.
The hunt for a new home to rent should begin soonish. What I want is an older cottage that's been renovated, has three bedrooms (or two decent sized ones and an office area that can accommodate a futon). Optimally I'd like it to have a fenced in usable back yard and be within walking distance to Marta and some sort of shops and eatin' joints.
I've never actually been able to chose my place of habitation in this way, this house we're in now was available for nothing and we lived with my mother for a while to assist her financially. I think it will be fun, so long as our credit doesn't make things too difficult for us. The price of rent I want will be well within our budget and there seem to be plenty of things in Atlanta available that seem promising within that range. It would be wonderful to be in a new home for the holidays.
I need some more Graham Greene novels.
