Nov. 19th, 2001 01:22 amNow they are following up the J.L. discussion with a bit of Rogue Leader on the new GameCube. This was after Tomas nixed my plans to watch the extras disc on the Citizen Kane dvd. I even made him cookies and candied apples and this is how he treats me?!
Picked up a cookbook called Vegetarian Cooking by Deborah Madison today. It seems like a pretty good one. Options have gotten so limited since Greg can't eat beef (not to mention the three million other things that either he or Tomas won't eat or don't like). There are only so many things one can do with a chicken. My mom raised us on ground beef dishes since there were four of us and ground beef was cheap and easily stretched. I've developed a lot of my own cooking style since I've been married but many of them are fatty or beef laden. It's time to get more comfortable with a lighter style. I can do without much beef, but don't try to take my dairy from me again. I tried that when Isadora was born for a bit... hell, pure hell. I'm just a cream, butter, and cheese girl with the ass to prove it.

Nov. 19th, 2001 01:29 amOh yeah, I got hit today. Well, my car did. We were pulling out of our parking space at Best Buys and I was doing my usual slow paranoid back up when suddenly there was this little silver vw backing right into the passenger side of the car. No one was hurt but there is a big smoosh in the side of the door. Luckily one of the 3 or so people that saw the little accident was a state trooper who gave his statement to the cop so I don't think we will have any trouble getting it paid for. The guy who hit us wants us to get an estimate so he can consider paying for it out of pocket. This is not really a good week for all this since it's our only "family" car and Thanksgiving is this week. I don't know what we should do. The fellow sounded rather impatient to have it over and done with. Bleh I hate being an adult sometimes.
