rainy day today... yay!
And then there is this plate on ebay that I want to get my father for Christmas. Only two problems, one... it's in England, Derbyshire Dales to be exact, two... it's already $41.95 and still has almost 4 days left to go. I don't know that it even if I am able to afford it when it ends, if it could make it here in time for Christmas. I spent all day yesterday looking up the maker and trying to find someone here who had another one. Unfortunately Art Nouveau wasn't as popular in the U.S. as it was in other places and no one has it... not even any other foreign dealers. *sigh* I hate it when I get my heart set on buying something that has a good chance of not being possible. On a brighter note, all of my research yesterday did lead me to learn a lot more about Shelley/Foley china than I knew on Tuesday. They have some really nifty cool art deco pieces that, while though expensive, aren't too bad.
