I grew up watching The Muppet Show with my parents frequently but haven't seen them at all since the show ended. Recently I added some to my Netflix list and got the first dvd yesterday. This morning I've been entertained by Peter Sellers dressed up as various characters including some sort of American country folk of the past singing a song about how cigarettes, whiskey and wild wild women will drive you insane. Children's programming sure has changed. When did people get so prickly about content?

I am starting to realize this. I just watched a sketch where Ms. Piggy came out in a wedding dress looking very much the pregnant pig and proceeded to sing a song about being left at the altar by a groom who was already married.
