I'm starving and the desire to consume a large plate of ribs and collards followed by a dozen warm Krispy Kremes is strong but I will resist and instead have a very sensible bowl of soup.

Dull and unproductive day spent mostly in pursuit of a higher solitaire score while listening to the audio book version of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. I'll make up for it tomorrow. The house must be completely cleaned before the party.

I saw the book and thought of picking it up the other day, but all of the reviews I've read have been mixed so I'm a little hesitant. Let me know how it goes.

Glad you're listening to JS&Mr.N. -Obviously I've made no secret of my love for it! It was a total delight to hear Susanna Clarke read, and she is head over heels for Jane Austen, which makes her all right in my book. But I could see not loving JS&Mr.N, it's kind of eccentric, and definitely dry in parts.

Ribs, ribs... gah, I've already eaten out too much this week but ribs sure sound good. And it's almost midnight so... darn you for making me want ribs!
