I love how at the end of CNN's lead story about Pat Robertson's idiotic comments it throws in this little jab...

"Controversial statements are not new to the 75-year-old Robertson.

He has suggested in the past that a meteor could strike Florida because of unofficial "Gay Days" at Disney World and that feminism caused women to kill their children, practice witchcraft and become lesbians."

Yeah, nobody really takes him seriously anyway. What he didn't stop to think of was that now since he made that comment even if Bush WAS going to "send in special ops guys to take him out" he totally couldn't do that now. duh. haha

Oh no, a LOT of people take him seriously. I grew up with those sorts of people. I hope that his comments will knock a few of them upside their heads but I'm not holding my breath.

No kidding! The church I went to during highschool would keep track of his prayer requests during the week and pray over them at Prayer Meetings on Tuesday nights. I have lots of stories from that place - both good and bad.

i love how pat is saying he was mis-quoted.

"i didn't say assassinate, i just said we should "take him out" there are lots of other ways to take him out, such as kidnapping."

And I love the part where it says he's lying about that and offers the video clip of this,

"If he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think we really ought to go ahead and do it," said Robertson Monday. "It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war."

Which sure does sound to me like he's saying ASSASSINATE! Even without the silly trying to get out of "take him out" meaning the same fucking thing.
