Went to the used bookstore. Got: Jude the Obscuren (Hardy), I Robot (Asimov), Stranger in a Strange Land (Heinlein), and Flatland (Abbot). I've read Flatland before but it was a borrowed copy and I loved it. They didn't have End of the Affair or Animal Farm. :( I am going to dig my copy of Watership Down out and do some looking around for good deals on other things I want from half.com. :)

yay Heinlein!

you know, I was just hearing today from my friend about this other Heinlein book where this guy goes around fishing on other planets, like whales and sharks and big fish and stuff. and there is this fish on this one planet that is all water, and is the size of an aircraft carrier, and he is trying to catch it.. oh my god, he was telling me of this part where he was untying the bait down WAYYY below *did we mention the sun on this planet is dim as fuck so he can barely see?* and all of a sudden he sees this gigantic thing coming underneath. it gets bigger and bigger. and he realizes: it's an air bubble. it comes to him, he falls through it, and freefalls into the bottom of it, knowing that the thing is somewhere underneath him...

yeah.. i need that fuckin book

Watership Down is one of my favorite books. I lent it to a friend, and never got it back. pout.
