Buying furniture has never been a priority for me. Generally I'd rather spend the money on entertainment, books, movies, food, things like this. A couple of weeks ago I picked up a chair and table for the porch at Ikea. I also got a throw pillow, possibly the first throw pillow of my entire adult life. Shortly thereafter the weather turned cooler and I haven't been able to use my new porch chair. Our house is also being renovated, well the siding anyway, so they have things quite a mess out there. This week things are warming up and I hope the construction crews stay away long enough for me to get outside and enjoy my new symbols of adulthood just a little bit. Before you know it we'll have dinning chairs and a real couch.
