Spring break is winding up and the girls have been pretty well behaved this week. I've had a mild but annoying cold. Tuesday mom came down and we went to Stone Mountain, had a picnic and rode paddle boats. Yesterday we made Easter cookies and today we dyed Easter eggs. Now Rhiannon is WoW'ing and Isadora and I are watching The Secret of Roan Inish, one of my favorite movies. Saturday we might go down to the zoo and then on Sunday we're off to do the family Easter lunch and egg hunt. The girls both sleeveless dresses and it's supposed to be in the 50's for a high. Brr.

Vegetable peel?! I think we used the kits when I was a kid. Same sort of thing we used the other day, little tablets to which you add water and vinegar. This particular kit made the eggs much more vibrant than I've seen them in years past.

Yes, beetroot for red/pink, onion skin for yellow. Maybe something for green, I don't remember. And then string and wax for resists. I think other years we just used ordinary food colouring. Yours are amazingly vibrant.
