Bad bad bad bad night. Jack is still sick and has some kind of throat thing going on so he woke up at 11:30 squawking like a wounded goose and sounding generally miserable. I stayed up with him until 3am then woke Tomas up to take over and tried to go to bed except that I had violent explosive coughing fits that I couldn't get under control. The last time I noticed the clock it was 4:30. Tomas said Jack was up until around 6:30. He's in bed now but not sleeping very well. I'm not looking forward to both of us having to trek out to get the girls in the 15 degree wind chill at 2:30.

Today Rhiannon is 10. Nine years ago we celebrated her first birthday and she looked like this:

I'll get a picture of her this afternoon for comparison.

Haha, I forgot about this picture. Oh Tomas, always trying to kill our children with your daredevil antics.

WHOA!

I think my camera angle made it look even more terrifying.

That is possibly the greatest baby picture I have ever seen (the toss, I mean). I wish my husband were so brave, but alas, he won't even dunk Maggie's head underwater at the pool with instructor sanction. :/

He hasn't dropped one yet but it scares the crap out of me. Luckily Rhiannon was the only baby who really encouraged him to throw her super high. Both Jack and Isadora are smart enough to be scared when he gets past a certain height. It was an amazingly lucky picture. The timing... the sun... it all just worked.

That second picture is a really good picture. And if Greg did that with Anya, I'd freak out!

I freak out constantly. He thinks our 12 foot ceilings are an excuse to bring the extreme baby tossing in doors. He also does extreme baby swinging, bouncing, tickling and extreme peekaboo. I tried to enlist our pediatrician for support but she just laughed and said that was dad's job.

... Extreme Peek a Boo? I can't even imagine that!
