I've distracted myself today by watching Sons of Anarchy episodes and working on Rhiannon's mage staff for her Halloween costume. I've painted it black, attached a sparkly blue ornament to the top and am now gluing five gazillion plastic white, green and blue plastic gems on to it, some so small they require me to pick them up with tweezers. It's probably my one crafty project for the year. I don't count knitting as an artistic endeavor because for me it's basically 'paint by numbers'. I follow the pattern. No artistic ability required. Thank heavens.
