While I do think bin Laden's death was just, I don't feel it's something to celebrate. I'm a little surprised by how much of an impact the news of his death made not just on the country but on myself and in some ways the various reactions have been more interesting than the news.

I am kind of a hard-core fan of actually using one's judicial system. It concerns me that there may never have been any real intent for this to be anything but an assassination. It also bothers me a lot that the vast majority of people seem to make no distinction between justice and revenge - in general, but it's certainly highlighted by this event.
