Our new neighbors got a rooster today. We live in a normal lower middle class neighborhood. No chickens. Just a rooster. Is it just me or is this not a really odd thing to do? It's a pretty rooster I suppose. Big and fluffy. When I opened the door a minute ago he was making some kind of noise like a small child being stabbed to death. I hope it doesn't wake us up at some ungodly hour of the morning... oh wait... all hours of the morning are ungodly.

I used to live in a loft behind Christine Sibley's pottery warehouse. She had geese, roosters, sheep, a turkey and even a peacock before the city made her move. That peacock sounded like a woman being raped. Ugh.

Yuck. I wish they had a wee lamb. Now that'd be a cute farm animal to be living beside. Why not something more cuddly than a rooster? Maybe they are going to eat it! Can you even eat a rooster?!
