I went to make sure the kids were up and moving this morning and found one of my notebooks on the floor with this scrawled on it:

("the diere by Rhiannon")

So I decided it was probably time to buy the child her own diary. Luckily I needed to go by Borders to get myself a copy of The System of the World so it worked out. I just hope she can learn to keep it away from Isadora the Pink.

I see. I'll have to get to them eventually. I guess I'm interested, but I'm not terribly excited about more Cryptonomicon either.

You probably wouldn't like them if you didn't care for Cryptonomicon.

I did like Cryptonomicon. I just don't know how badly I need more.

You don't even remember what books I like now!

And you don't even remember how bad my memory is!

Yes, I do. That's why I always said you were going to forget me.

Remember me?

Shhhh! Hear that?

It's the sound of one girl glaring.

Oh, I've heard that before. I usually enjoy that sound.

Oh, it's OK. You'll forget about it.
