Mar. 3rd, 2005 07:38 pmI find it amusing that I've made it to 30 years of age without ever really learning to apply makeup very well, only briefly owning a working hair dryer, never got the hang of 'styling' or fixing my hair in any way shape or form or using any sorts of products outside of my few years of dancing where stage makeup and hair were required. I didn't even wear much in high school. But now here I am attempting to acquire some skill at both in one week. I can't say that my face is too happy about matters so now I also need to figure out proper skin care. Argh. There are certain female abilities be they learned or something most are born with, that I'm just totally missing. I have no clue how to dress to any flattering effect either. Don't know what colors look good on me, not sure how to play up my positives (or even what they are really), totally lost when it comes to assembling an outfit. I barely even know what I like. I guess no time like the present to learn.

For clothes, stick to a few basic colors that mix and match in a way to maximize the look while keeping the color mix and number small and manageable.
